Small Business Marketing Tip One
By
A business associate, Mark Komen of Kodyne, Inc., recently asked me to write an article for his July newsletter. He wanted an article on how to dig up business in a crappy economy like the one we have right now.
Essentially, I wrote that you can’t suddenly scrounge up business in an economy like this where everyone is running scared. Marketing requires a long term commitment to a plan and sticking to that plan.
it also requires the development of long term relationships with customers and clients. And I don’t care what kind of business you are in, you can develop relationships with your customers, your clients, and/or the community in which you operate.
In the article, I gave one example of a relatively cheap and easy marketing plan that can be used by almost any business to develop a strong presence on the Internet. Because like it or not, the Internet is the future of all business. It’s where people and business look for someone to do business with.
You can dominate your segment of the web or you can waste the opportunity and let your competitors get the work when things are slow like this. Get a program put together and follow it religiously. There’s no time like RIGHT NOW.
Here’s a link to a copy of the article I wrote for Mark’s newsletter: Marketing For New Business in Today’s Messed Up Economy.
