Creating Content Is As Easy As An Email

I just got off the phone from a short training meeting with a new employee at a client’s office. This young lady has been handed the job of Internet Content Developer (I don’t know if that’s her official title or not but that’s what she’ll be doing) at her company. It’s a small firm but they are growing well.
I wrote all the content for their revamped main site and two new sites. We also search engine optimized their sites and the copy on their sites. Now, they’ve set their sites on becoming a dominant force in their niche through social media and content marketing.
I wanted to share with you an email this young lady sent out immediately after our meeting. She obviously took very good notes and is enthusiastic about the opportunities the web affords her firm. You should copy her email and paste it on your wall as a source of ideas when you need to create your own content.
Here’s her email:
I just had a long conference call with our Internet Marketing Consultants, Duane and Bob.
I was given homework and you can help, woo hoo!
This is an ongoing project, so never stop! Our goal is to create content for blogs, press releases and article writing -
all created to get our name out there.
As it comes up, please email me with any of the following information:
1. Interesting questions that customers have about our products or company.
(you can give me your answer too, if you had one.)
2. Any comments or suggestions from our customers about their product ideas.
3. Upcoming events you are attending related to our company
4. Your pre and post conference impressions, what is new, who did you see, what was the speaker like, what did you learn, etc….
5. Photos of the conferences
6. Let me know if you see or read anything interesting in our industry (esp. helpful if you show me where it’s found)
7. Let me know if you notice anything in the news that could be tied/linked to our products.
8. Consider a product or two in pre production (design phase) that we can take to the public and ask for their opinion, ideas, suggestions, wants, etc.
9. Anything else crazy, fun, unusual that relates to our business…..
It will be my job (with Bob and Duane) to make sure our company is relevant and prevalent on the world wide web!
Let’s just have fun with this and see where it goes…..
