Online marketing training
“So, how did you learn so much about online marketing?”
It’s a question I get asked a lot when I do online marketing training. Partly of course, it’s because I do this for a living. And when I say I do this for a living, that means just about everything you can think of in terms of online marketing.
My online marketing experience includes:
- Consulting for marketing firms that don’t have inhouse online marketing experts
- Consulting for mid-size corporations who have a VP of Marketing but still need to outsource their online marketing
- Doing online marketing for clients
- Designing and implementing link-building campaigns for clients (and for my own online stores)
- And I subscribe to just about every high-quality blog and ezine on online marketing, Internet marketing SEO and social media marketing. this stuff changes daily and you have to keep up.
Live online marketing seminars and trainings
However, I get asked it the most after one of my live seminars or trainings. People usually walk out the door with pages of notes and their head spinning. My online marketing trainings are intense and I fire out the information pretty much as fast as people can scribble it down.
There are also a lot of questions. And I answer them all. I try to start the trainings or seminars from a very basic level and build up to the latest tricks, tips, methodologies and tools I use for my clients. Along the way, I usually reach and surpass the knowledge thresholds of each person in the room until I’ve pulled ahead of everyone. Then it’s a pure learning experience for the whole room.
I’ll admit, I love doing these seminars and trainings. There’s nothing more fun than teaching people how to use the most advanced online methods to search engine optimize their websites and then promote their website through online marketing, Internet marketing, online PR and link building.

Bob –
I hope your blog readers realize how much Internet marketing does change daily (how about hourly?) and how important it is to have access to training by someone who keeps up with the latest. I’m sure your live seminars are incredibly valuable.

Thank you for the kind words Phyllis. The saddest part is that I get questions from people at these seminars wanting to know if they should put 40 or 50 keywords on their page and stuff the copy with keywords and can they use copy in white to fool the search engines.
it’s a shame that such bad information is out there on the Internet that can get these people banned from the search engines. We have a real responsibility to keep educating the public and business and marketing people so they don’t make these egregious mistakes that can cost them dearly.
