Internal Anchored Links – Things Google Loves Part One

By WordsmithBob

A lot of people think that if they have navigation links on the side of the web site page or at the top of the website page, they have everything they need. “Hey, I’ve got links to all my pages. Isn’t that enough?”

No buckaroo, it’s not.

Google loves anchored links

Anchored links (at their best) are keyword phrases within your text that are links to more information about the subject matter of the keyword phrase within your site. Now they can be to information outside your site but Google gives you much more credit if the information is within your site.

It tells Google your primary interest is in educating your website visitors. And since Google’s primary interest is in providing the best information sources to their searchers, that makes you look like a primary source of information for that keyword search phrase.
