Easy Ebook Creation for Business Promotion and Marketing

By

There are a number of ways to create an ebook. If you want to create an ebook to give away as a premium for signing up for your newsletter or as the beginning of a multi-point sales process, here’s one of the easiest.

A list of tips

Everyone loves to get a list of tips. They’re easy to read, highly informative (if you did your job), and usually very useful. They pack a lot of punch in a small ebook and that’s what people love. These ebooks are usually less than 100 pages and at a minimum, over 25 pages (although I’ve seen a few good ones that were shorter).

Picking the subject

This should be the easiest part of your ebook. It must be something related you your business. And it should be something that your customers and clients will find very useful. If you’re an electrician, it can be tips on making your house electrically safe for children. If you’re an accountant, how about an ebook on negotiating the best contracts?

Choosing a title they can’t resist

Your title should be simple, straight-forward, tell them exactly what they’ll get, and yes, have an element of excitement. Examples:

  • “33 Tips that Will Double Your Life Insurance Sales”
  • “75 Ways to Get a Great Deal on Your Next Car”
  • “The 50 Keys to better Gas Milage”

Where to get your tips

There are a lot of sources. Use your favorite search engine to find a lot of tips for your ebook. As the expert in your business, you should be able to come up with a lot of them yourself. If you have any employees, ask them to come up with as many as they can, write them down, and submit them to you. You could even make it a contest.

Make it appealing and make it sell

Lastly, make your ebook appealing. Look at the books in your home. Go to the bookstore and look at some of the latest books on similar subjects. Get a graphic designer to create a cover. Put some illustrations in your ebook or at least some pictures and graphics. If you can, put links to more information.

Include an opening paragraph about your business, yourself, and why you wrote the ebook. And put contact information in the beginning and at the end. Tell them to contact you for more information or to discuss anything they read in the ebook. And make sure the ebook is a pdf. That’s the accepted format for ebooks.
