Insurance Agents and Realtors need to use ‘feeder’ websites
ByI ran into an insurance agent this morning at a networking event. As we chatted, he explained the problem he had on the web. His web page, while pretty good, was buried on the insurance company’s website along with all the other agents. He wasn’t getting any contacts from the page because no one could find him.
I told him that Realtorshave the same problem. All the Realtors are buried on the realty company website and they never get any business from it. They felt like all the nifty services and tools the realty site offered went to waste because no one could find them there.
He asked if I had a solution. “You bet I do,” I told him. “I create feeder pages for the Realtors.” And I told him I could do the same thing for him.
Feeder pages on the web are essentially one or two page websites that are specifically search engine optimized to get that person very high local placement on the web so local people can find them.
If you sell real estate or insurance primarily in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, you don’t care if people in Brooklyn, New York can find you. People in Brooklyn Center are going to search for an agent in Brooklyn Center, MN. If there are only one or two agents in that town who have a website specifically written and designed for that city, guess who’s going to pop up first every time?
And then you can get them excited about using you and your services and feed them directly to YOUR page on the realty or insurance website!
