Is Google Page Rank Important For Small Business Web sites?
Posted by: | Comments
The short answer? No. Google Page Rank gets bandied about quite a bit by people who really don’t know anything about SEO but want to pretend they do.

I loved this book and learned a lot. Even though I told myself “I know this,” I learned so much more and made my to-do list as I read. Knowing it is one thing. Taking action while reading the exact steps to take is a necessity. The author, Bob McClain covered every aspect of promotion that any small, business owner wants, especially if they do not know the topic. For instance, would you know how to pitch the business editor or the lifestyles editor of your local newspaper? Most people pitch an announcement, but what editors and their readers want are stories that relate to them.
Presents great eye-candy in colorful layout and easy-to-read format.

As I’ve mentioned before, search engine optimization is about the details. There is no “home run” in SEO. There are a few other things you should watch out for.
If someone else designed your website for you, check the html to make certain the title meta tag is first, followed by the Description meta tag and the Keywords meta tag. If you use a WYSIWYG editor to design your website, check to make certain it doesn’t stick other tags ahead of your title tag. Some of the WYSIWYG editors don’t put the tags in correctly and you must go in and edit them by hand. Also check to make certain they aren’t putting other “notes” or “messages” ahead of your meta tags. Read More→
